E’ finalmente disponibile Google Earth per Linux:
Configurazione Consigliata:
* Sistema operativo: Ubuntu 5,10, Suse 10,1, Fedora Core 5, Linspire 5,1, Gentoo 2006,0, Debian 3,1, Red Hat 9
* CPU: Pentium 4 2,4 GHz+ oppure AMD 2400xp+
* Memoria di sistema (RAM): 512 MB
* Disco rigido: 2 GB di spazio libero
* Velocità di rete: 768 Kbit/sec
* Scheda grafica: con funzionalità 3D e 32 MB di VRAM
* Schermo: 1280×1024, 16,8 milioni di colori a 32 bit
Scaricato e installato sulla mia beneamata Ubuntu non ha iniziato benissimo:
We apologize for the inconvenience, but Google Earth has crashed. [...] This bug report will be sent to Google automatically next time you run Google Earth. [...]
Update: senza aver fatto assolutamente nulla se non lasciar passare del tempo ho provato di nuovo. Niente crash, ma qualche problema non indifferente nella visualizzazione. Beta davvero, direi.
