I hope that the publicity generated by the Sony and [tag]Symantec[/tag] examples have sent a strong message to the software and music industries and that they follow Symantec’s lead by removing the use of [tag]rootkit[/tag] techniques from their applications and avoiding them in the future.
Cosi’ Mark Russinovich chiude un post sul suo blog. I punti discutibili sono tanti: l’uso di tecniche del genere all’interno dei software commerciali, per esempio, la reazione tutto sommato composta e responsabile di Symantec, il cavalcare l’onda di altri… ma alla fine il mio dubbio e’: ma a chi interessa qualcosa del fatto?
