(S)Coordinate?

Perché se inserisco come coordinate 45° 42′, 9° 2′ Google Maps le trasforma in +45° 42′ 0.00″, +9° 1′ 60.00″? Perché i 2° vengono cambiati in 1° e 60′? Qualche oscura convenzione topografica? Non e’ come dire ci vediamo alle 12 e 60 invece che alle 13?
